Canon invites you to attend two Canon Academy workshops on the 20th and 21st of October 2017 at Light House Studio, Al Quoz, Dubai. The Canon Academy nurtures skill, technique and creativity, helping both amateur and professional photographers explore the world of imaging.
 
ABOUT THE SPEAKER CLINTON LUBBE
 
Winner of Media 24 photographer of the year, Clinton Lubbe is one of South Africa’s most celebrated portraitists. He is the official ambassador of Profoto Lighting, South Africa. Clinton has over the course of his photographic career digressed into film, producing more than 30 music videos, a full feature film and was DOP for two seasons of an award-winning TV series.

WORKSHOP 1: MAKE CASH FROM YOUR CAMERA
 
SUMMARY: This complimentary workshop will provide tips on how to make some extra cash with your camera gear. You’ll also stand the chance to win a Canon Connect Station CS100* through a raffle draw!

WORKSHOP 2: FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY
 
SUMMARY: This paid workshop will feature a Canon Academy Certified course. Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive a certification from Canon Academy. Register as an early bird and pay only AED 750** instead of AED 1000! Seating is limited to 25, so please reserve your seats today. Lunch is provided.

What do bring on the day:  
 
Camera, Lenses, Batteries and Memory Cards. Bring any camera gear that you use or would like to use, preferably DSLR - however, if you don’t own a DSLR, Canon will provide camera and lenses for those who need it. 
 
What you will learn:  
 
Understanding the genre of Fashion Photography, what are the techniques and styles that are used in the industry. Their will be live demonstrations using studio and natural light. Students will get hands on experience in shooting models with different light setups in the studio and outdoors. You will come out confident in how the various lights work and what is the best lenses, angles and composures to photograph Fashion.
